Daikin, one of the biggest innovators in the air conditioning industry, has recently launched a new Multi+ system that provides a complete home climate and energy system for new homes and renovations with at least four rooms.

The system can replace dated electric hot water systems and costly gas central heating systems in mid-size or large properties, and is ideal for new self-build properties.

The low-energy system allows you to install up to four different indoor units, which can be a mix of wall, floor or ducted units. Furthermore, it can supply hot water via a 120-litre or 230-litre tank.

In short, yes. This type of system is designed for new builds, renovations and larger properties with dated and costly electric or gas heating systems.

Air conditioning units provide heating and cooling to individual rooms, so they can be used instead of radiators. However, it’s worth bearing in mind the cost of removing radiators and the original heating system, along with the cost of a new system and installation.

Integrating solar panels

Integrating or adding photovoltaic solar panels is also an option with the Multi+ system.

This means that in the summer the solar energy heats your water while your house is being cooled, and in winter the heat pump heats your rooms and provides hot water at any time.
