Design your own home air conditioning

Choosing to install home air conditioning can be daunting for many, mostly due to a lack of understanding. But, thanks to some fun new digital technology, you can now see how an air conditioning system will look in your home.

Daikin, one of the world’s top air conditioning manufacturers, has launched a new 3D app that uses augmented reality to help you select the ideal air conditioning system for your own home.

The free app allows you to select a style of unit, choose a desired colour, then place it in any room of your home. You can even choose where to place the outdoor unit.

Choosing a home air conditioning system

Once you’ve downloaded the app, start by choosing an air conditioning units and then choose a style.

Pick a colour, pick a room

When you’ve selected a style, choose a preferred colour of air conditioning unit and try placing in different positions in your chosen room(s).

It’s worth remembering that your installer will need to survey your property before any units are installed.

Outdoor units

Next, select an outdoor unit and place it on an outside wall. Again, your engineer will install it in the best position but you’ll have an idea how it will look.

You can download the Daikin 3D app from the App Store or Google Play. The step-by-step guide helps you to:

Customise the colour and size of your preferred indoor unit
Place the air conditioning or heating unit in a desired location in any room
View the exact dimensions of each device and its position from the floor or ceiling
Take a photo of the chosen unit in your preferred location and save it to your phone gallery
View all technical information about the different devices.
